Remember when he was talking about a bear killing a deer and Ron and Fez busted on him mercilessly?

Bear Kills Moose in Alaska Driveway as Residents Watch (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,270936,00.html)
HOMER, Alaska — Odd sounds outside their home woke Gary and Terri Lyon early Sunday morning, so Gary got up to check it out. He looked outside and saw a 500-pound grizzly bear (javascript:siteSearch('grizzly bear');) killing an adult moose in their driveway.

No, we can't have that. Does anyone know if a moose is as quick and agile as a deer. I think no, and that's why a bear could get a moose but not a deer.

Wow. What a sight that would be in person!
And Dave - being correct - what a fluke! Congrats!

Yeah, moose are big, slow, lumbering buffoons!

Agreed.
I can't sit here and think a moose is even half as quick as a deer. And they just look like they're big dummys.

Amazing as it sounds dave is right every so often. The problem is he can't communicate intelligently, so it sounds like he's just talking out of his ass. I believe we need to send him to a speech communication class to erradicate this problem. Of course on the other hand who wants to mess with a good thing.

You can't argue with THESE (http://www.factmonster.com/ipka/A0004737.html) numbers.
Speeds of animals:
35 MPH - Mule Deer (The Cervidae Family includes deer and their allies, including moose, elk, and caribou.)
30 MPH - Grizzly Bear
30 MPH - White-tailed deer

it's long been understood that grizzlies are capable of short bursts over 45 mph, and one of the scariest things about them is their ability to accelerate uphill (e.g. up a mountain side). anything being chased by a grizz up a rocky slope would be in serious trouble.
even so, grizzlies are primarily foragers, preferring to save energy by eating things that don't run...like garbage, carrion, and grandparents smeared with honey and left by the highway in their wheelchairs.

It is well known that bears may not eat full born deers as they can sustain speed over a long distance, while a bear cannot. bears tend to go for deer fawns or baby elks. Unless obviously if one attacks them or harms their young.
So dave was correct in a sense, that bears do love deer fawns, just hardly ever eat a full grown one.
Dave (like Crazy Jen) is often more right than given credit for.

Since both get no credit for being right on-air, it's not hard to get above that low benchmark.
