OK I dont know the details but this is what I am hearing. I know we are not big fan of the guy but we all need to support all of the guys, no matter who they work for.

this is getting out of control.

you can take something from these 'shock jock' satellite shows everyday that alot of people would consider offensive. one of these corporations needs to take a stand.

god knows i dont want to have to listen the don stugots show everyday.

I say we take the fight to these special interest groups. The HOW is the question.

I think it's clear we cannot just stand there and let them batter us while we say 'please, no.'

Any ideas how to fight back, please post them.

the people against censorship is a good start.

I mean actually hitting the special interest groups themselves. Something PAC could learn to better do- as well as anyone else who's against these groups. Taking the fight to them.

PAC is a good first step. But we should have a plan A, B, and C, if at all possible. I'm open to suggestions. My first notion is to identify who the groups are, what their issues are, and what they themselves like. Then we take the arguments to them in person, in letter format, on the radio, and in television. (And internet, though that's as stable as Kansas during the Civil War) We attack THEIR special interests...we protest the things they like, and we don't mince words and we don't be polite about it. They are typically a mob-mentality oriented group of people, and so must we become as them. Give them their own medicine.

At the very least, it would blunt their attack on O&A, and get the issue all muddled up, and allow us to scathe these groups that typically do this shit and walk away unscathed.

Not a fan of Bubba, but the song is just a spoof on Zach de la Rocha's rant that the current adminstration be tried, hung and shot. Zach's the target of the satire.

I just read this story. I'm not a fan, and the fact that he's a Howard guy makes me dislike him even more. We still need to support him as much as O&A, Imus, JV & Elvis etc... This should also teach the Stern/Bubba fans that are basking in the glow of O&A's misery that the axe could be just around the corner for anyone on the air.... If this doesn't stop soon radio (and possibly free speech itself) is REALLY doomed!

The ACLU is loving this, they got a bowl of organic popcorn and and a diet Fresca watchin the news.

The ACLU fights for free speech but only when the speech is from a non-majority group. Latino, Black, Asian, not White. Gay, Lesbian, Transgender, not Straight. Muslim, Scientologist, Hindu not Christian.

There's hope yet. Greg Hughtes, the actor who portrays Opie on the O&A show, off-air is a Transgendered Asian Scientologist.

why not start a boycott on company's that pull away from the shows? if a small group threatens a boycott of a sponcer, them all we need is a larger group to threaten a counter-boycott

Wow, way to buy into all the right wing talking points about an organization that could legitmiately help if people are serious about getting backup for their favorite radio shows. Do yourself a favor and actually look over the history of the ALCU as opposed to just parroting out uneducated crap that is completely not true.
