what are people's opinions on the song??
at first i wasnt sure...i like it i think though, its kinda spacey and creepy
ive listened to it a bunch, morrison's sing songy delivery is almost hypnotizing
i woudl have liked more of the doors-esque keyboard in there

Eh.
But I'm not a fan of music like that, so don't take my word for it.

As I said in the listening thread, he sounds like someone who will soon be dead. There's just no feeling or soul in his voice.

I thought the same thing. Morrison is very busy dying at that point in time.

I am not the biggest Doors fan in the world, but that song is pretty haunting.

listened a few times to see if i love or hate it
ive decided..i dont really care either way.
it is cool to hear some unreleased morrison..i think im with the consensus that id rather have the surviving doors do something with it (which theyre not willing to do so i suppose its right that perry had a go)
a more 'doorsy' approach might have worked better, but its not 67 anymore and styles have changed. theres a chance a more modern sound will work for kids that haven't heard of the doors and make them check it out. (but its such a departure stylistically its prob not gonna do that)
i was always a big fan of this which i suppose is similar..but worked better for me with Jim's vocals

the part is kinda creepy when jim goes:
"come upstairs sir and i will play for you"
the way he says it is just pleasently erie
i also like the line:
"man you are evil, get out of my garden"
