Chrysler sold to Private Equity firm

Actually about 80% of the company was sold for 7.4 billion dollars. They got it for a bargain. This might lead to GM and Ford to be sold. Over the last few years the big 3 automakers have lost billions of dollars. In my opinion this might be too late for the US automakers to rebound. Toyota has passed GM in being #1 in the US

I think the more interesting part of the story is how much money they managed to loose in like 10 years. They bought the company in '96 I think for about 37 bil, and sold it for 7. Thats a 30 billion loss in 11 years, or almost 3 billion a year.
