I try to not be happy when bad things happen to bad people, so I'm just gonna back out of this thread.

I was in Lynchburg a few weeks ago, but I swear I had nothing to do with this. I have witnesses.

Wow, that was fast. Glad I kept my mouth shut at 1st.

I am the farthers thing from a fan of this man's legacy but I don't think many people deserve to die. I guess it was something sudden if he was just found dead in his office. A guy like that probably isn't alone too long so it must have been something like a severe stroke or maybe a blood vessel in his brain burst.

His horriblely ignorant statements about how God let 9/11 happen because we accept homosexuals and other non-Godly things made me hate him and this changes nothing.

I guess I'm getting soft in my old age, but I just can't jump for joy when someone I disagree with dies, even a hatemonger like Falwell.

I guess it just makes me think "He was probably somebody's kind grandfather or uncle" and that makes me feel bad for the family.

I couldn't be more happy that the man can't spread his ignorant, hateful speech anymore though. Have to make that clear.

If we could edit our posts you would have been able to update this thread to say he's now dead instead of just unconscious.

His death might be the act we need in order to get the editing ban lifted.

You took the words out of my mouth, Moe. I don't wish death on anybody, but this guy was a big problem... and it has become obvious to me that the only way society can change is to just wait for these mouthpieces to die off so people can think on their own. We got a few more to get to.

Criminal Law class. Don't ask me why though, we were going over First Amendment shit, and in return we got to watch the movie.

"Flynt was embroiled in many legal battles regarding the regulation of pornography and free speech within the United States, especially attacking the Miller v. California (1973) obscenity exception to the First Amendment."

WOO HOO!
What I would not GIVE to be there when he reaches the gates of heaven. I can see Jesus and St. Peter standing there with their arms crossed and tapping their feet. Just looking at him like a scolded child.

“I join the students, faculty and staff of Liberty University and Americans of all faiths in mourning the loss of Reverend Jerry Falwell,” McCain said in a statement. “Dr. Falwell was a man of distinguished accomplishment who devoted his life to serving his faith and country.

Mitt Romney has also issued a statement:
"An American who built and led a movement based on strong principles and strong faith has left us. He will be greatly missed, but the legacy of his important work will continue through his many ministries where he put his faith into action. Ann and I have had the honor to talk and meet with Reverend Falwell and get to know him as a man of deep personal faith and commitment to helping those around him. He will be forever remembered."

You're getting Falwell and Robertson mixed up. Robertson was told this, but he kept it "close to the vest" knowing a power grab was coming in May......wait and see.

My wife and I were in Lynchburg on Sunday night , we had freight to deliver monday morning. We got a room at a Days Inn there, thru the window we could see a giant rock symbol "LU" for Liberty University. I focused on these same rocks to keep from finishing too soon while my wife gave up the baloon knot and later we laughed about sodomy in the sight of the right Reverend Falwell and his church. And now he's dead, coincidence? I think not.

why would anyone go to Liberty U? You cant drink, have sex, go in the room of the opposite sex ever, its very expensive, strict dress code and Falwell started it. I mean its college its when your suppose to do those things.

I dont even understand how this is considerd a real school.
