Ladies, how do you know you're getting your period?

In my 20s, I used to get *really emotional* and crave salt bagels and Hershey's Alpine White Chocolate bars (people at work knew to stay away from me if they saw more than one crumpled wrapper on my desk!). But now, in my 30s, although I still get a "bit" emotional (poor Thunderlips) my boobs just hurt!

the week before i get it, i get very bitchy and emotional (more so than usual), and i get achy in my lower back and legs

Nothing really seems to happen until the day before the actual menstruation starts...on that day, I go into the deepest depression imaginable...I hate my period, but when I get it the next day, it's almost a relief. It's like "Ohhh, that's why I felt so badly!"

Well I dont get mine anymore, but when I did I would get really dirty hair,no matter how much i washed it. I would have the worst backache fora week before and everysingle thing would make me cry. I mean you could say hi to me and I'd cry. Hormones are just "super". Oh yeah and I also used to get cramps that sent me to the hospital every single month. I'd have to get a shot right by my ovaries that was a pain killer for people with kidney stones. Awful!
