i brought a hundred something clams to Amityville but nobody really wanted them. they were great, medium sized, had them on ice all night and that day. Alkey had a couple. Silera Figmnt and Alkey were first to arrive along with me and my daughter Michele. Stickey was suposed to be a good shucker and came but never introduced himself so I was was struggling with my shucking. I handed about a couple dozen out

i brought a couple watermelons that day too and gave one to TooCute's boyfriend, Chairman Kaga and they took it back to their house for the after party, afterwards he told me it was one of the best watermelon's he ever ate (no shit!) :-) the other i gave to the girls softball team that came to use the field after we were done...

i left the leftover clams in the bucket out on the driveway for a couple days in the hot sun. when i got around to getting rid of them it wasn't pretty...

anyway

It's very close to Union/Kenilworth & is in Union County, so that must be it.

I am originally from Westfield, Echo Lake Park is in Mountainside off of Route 22. The entrances to the park are off of Mountain Ave or Springfield Ave exits off of Route 22. If you are coming from the city take the Turnpike to exit 14 and follow the signs for 22 West. Take 22 through Hillside, Union, Springfield and into Mountainside.

Sorry I couldn't make it. I was going to try to go, but I had to take my daughter to a birthday party and my wife had a rehearsal. The only problem was that my wife mis-read the invitation, and the party is actually scheduled for July 30th rather than June 30th, so we were a month early. Who sends out invitations for a kid's birthday party over a month in advance anyway? So we went and saw "Nancy Drew" instead, which was probably less fun than softball. On a side note, I found out that they do still put Rachel Leigh Cook in movies.

next time ill actually play i had woken up at 645 and then had a long day at work so i wasnt actually in the softball mood like i thought i would, PLUS i couldnt find any decent athletic pants so i wound up having to wear my jeans

My daughter Michele, her friend Lee, and I had a great time! The weather, the sportsmanship, the food, some much needed exercise, were all great but the people who came out to play and hang out were better!

Big Ups to MDR55 and Bobby Pantera for smacking that ball around like Mantle and Maris. And Dre and Nick for their outfield play.

Big Ups to Missy and Jeff for taking the time to work the grill and keeping everyone fed during and between the games.

Big Ups to little Ryan, at the middle of each inning he would transfer at least 6 bats from one teams side to the other and retrieve all the bats from around the hitting area. Just a great kid all around!

Big Ups to Justice for securing the field and the effort he puts in to making the games enjoyable for everyone.

sidenote: Peachy, hope your foot is feeling better. It was pretty tough out there when a pitcher loses his ace catcher!

Foot's still a bit tender and bruised, but fortunately still functional. Looking back, I can acknowledge that I am a phuckin' wuss.

It was nice meeting folks, either in person or over the phone (Crippler and Silera). I'm trying to talk the hubby into stopping by the next game before we head to his show.

Ok....it's time to play what I've learned at the Ron anf Fez softball game.

I learned that even though it might be borderline in-appropriate, nothing is funnier then hearing a 5 year old scream "COCKSTRONG!" across a softball field. (Only slightly more funnier would be if you got him to yell YOUR MOMS BOX!)

I also learned that DarkHippie has been hitting the batting cages with a vengence. He almost took the second game away from us also! (You were SUPPOSED to be our mole!)

Sweet! What a great time out there with all you peeps! Some highlights for me.....

Catch of the Day Noms: Nick's crazy robbery of ME!, CT's line drive up the middle snare and Dre's center/right field catch from his fucking knees!

Biggest Hits: Marc crushing HR to get started with 2 of the needed 8 runs in the amazing comeback, Pantera's blast over my and Chris's head into the road, and many more so I'll stop here.

Overall, some great fun all day long....especially knocking down Ryan's beer pong setup with the ladies and Reef. He never let up that little worker bee! Worst moment, running like a nut in the first two innings of the first game trying to stop the bleeding. Fucking A did that wear me out! And I heard Jeff drives into tree branches. Not sure what that means but I hear things. Perhaps limbo in your car ISN'T a good idea. Shhhhh, don't tell the union county fuzz!
