(my chick pointed this out to me today. as i've said before, she's smarter than i am)

The radio industry, especially the kind of radio we all listen to (shock/sports/whatever), is pretty much dominated by men. Sure there are some female hosts, characters, guests, interns and staff, and a good number of female listeners, but the content in general is male oriented. (I don't think many women ever wonder about what kind of animals they can kick to death.)

And yet the person who has taken the lead to protect this type of entertainment is a.. girl (and quite adroit at typing, and usually happy). I don't know what HTG has done before all of this, but I think everyone can agree that she's doing an amazing job as the new spokesperson for free expression in the radio boys' club. Although the message should stand up on it's own, I doubt it would be as powerful to a lot of the non-listening public if it came from a man. I think we're incredibly lucky to have someone so bright, focused, and motivated speaking for us right now.

SinA, It's Always A Smart Plan To Have The Least-Likely Break The Difficult New Ground. Like LBJ, The Southerner, Getting Civil Rights Legislation Passed. Or Nixon, The Republican, Going To Communist China.

Likewise In Good PR: Use The Opposite Of The Streotype. Like TV Gay Rights Spokesmen Are Always Clean Cut Guys In Suits With Briefcases And Low Voices, And Not Lisping Nellies.

Fat Thinks There Must Have Been An Intentional Decision By The "Powers That Be" To Put A Woman Out To Defend What Is, As You Say, A Man's Domain. Very Smart, And Very Effective!

Let's just hope she doesn't meet the same fate as Joan.

Yeah, this might have not been the best historical comparison.

eh. it was a joke.
it kind of goes along with fluff's sleeping buddies shirt, but the PAC is a serious organization, oddly enough, so i think novelty items aren't in the picture
