It's an unqualified piece in support of O&A. It is worth a listen.

It's still amazing to me that the only people who are bringing up these important details are the people who are somehow linked to radio in one way or another. Its not hard to understand whats going on here, yet someone like me who is only 21 can see it but others who are supposed to be "smarter" and more "mature" can't seem to see it.

What important details? That it was for insubordination, not content?

Moe, Don doesn't talk about his family, his dogs or even his bowel movements in this clip.

If you haven't heard the clip, you are ill-informed to comment.

I'm about ready to start my own Matty Fridays "insubordination not content" drinking game.

I'll be back this evening, and I expect to be hammered within ten minutes of returning to this forum. Make me proud/shitfaced, Tenbats.

It's good to see support for O&A. It would be good if they mentioned that O&A aren't suspended for the comments made by Homeless Charlie, but for not taking seriously the demands made to them by management.

They did say XM did have the right to regulate what's on their air, so that is as close as I've heard anyone mention.

What the hell is up with the 24 ring tone?

And why do they think that you don't have to tell someone you're on the air. I'm pretty sure it's still the same rule for XM. I think it's a legal issue that covers Satellite as well as AM/FM

I thought this was strange, too. I assume he meant that the FCC won't come after you if you fail to inform someone they're on the air, but you could still be sued in civil court.

Maybe. What people also don't understand is that the suspension has also seemingly gotten O&A out of their malaise, because the last few shows have been fucking brilliant.

Dammit, Matty, I thought you liked me.

Meh. Off to drown my sorrows.

It's subjective, not really a matter of "not understanding." I thought some of the pre-suspension stuff was was really entertaining, including Fat Sex Bagel and Ozzy's appearance. Before that, there were two weeks of vacation, and that usually throws off their rhythm for at least a few days. In general, I don't think the XM suspension has helped the show, as they always seem to run out of airtime before they run out of material.
