Historical Question: Why Did East Side Dave Stop Posting Here?

Fat Noticed Tonight The "Goodnight" Thread Started By East Side Dave. Fat Was Surprised To See ESD's Name As A Topic Starter, As He Has Never Seen Him Post Here. Fat Then Checked ESD's Profile And His Last Post Was On January 12, 2007.

F_S, Although He Registered in 2005, Did Not Start To Follow RonFez.Net Until January 2007, So He Came On Just As Dave Left. So Fat Never Saw Even One Of Dave's 5000+ Posts... Until Tonight.

Is There A Particular Reason He Stopped Posting Here? Did Someone Scare Him Off, Or Did He Just Get Busy? Given The Number Of People Here Who Like Him, It Would Be Nice If He Came Back And Started Posting Again.

Sucks too, because ESD was easily one of my favorite posters on the board back in the day. I truly think it was when he first started on the show and a good portion of posters on the board trashed him like mad on the board. It was very disturbing just for me to see, that instead of supporting one of our own that people felt to need to post here and rip him apart. There were also a lot of people who would sign up, and some who would create fake board names just to trash him too. It was so much so that there were many different topics focused on why people hated him, it was very annoying. Eventually people warmed to him, but I could see why he may have felt hurt by that.

Fat Just Thinks It Would Be Flattering To RonFez.Net, As Well As Just Plain Good Business, To Have A RF Staffer Participate Here On A Regular Basis. Fat Thinks ESD Has The Ideal Personality Plus The Inclination To Do That. But If He Can't Or Won't, Fat Would Be Very Happy With The New Star Bronx Johnny. (It Does Not Seem Like Something Earl Would Be Inclined To Do.)

Not really. He posts on FBA more often than he posts here, but even there he doesn't seem to post that frequently. He's pretty busy, I'd assume. Also, I don't fault him for not posting here. While the core membership is pretty pro-Dave, there's always some ham & egger who signs up just to trash him. I miss the Dave posts. They were truly wacked out. Unfortunately, I don't think the online ESD persona (delusional, nutty and completely random) would mesh well with the on-air ESD persona.

the funny thing is i HATED dave as a poster, his comedy did not come across well on the internet. but i fucking love him on air from day 1, even though i wanted to hate him due to his inane board posts.


I'm 100% the opposite. He was in my top 3 as a board member, not nearly as funny on the show. The one day last week he was bringing up peanuts to Earl like 50 times and just wasn't funny, Ron then picked it up and suddenly it was hilarious. Of course Ron is a seasoned radio professional, and Dave is a basically still an intern who gets a little mic time.
