During the period of Opie & Anthony's suspension, XM Satellite Radio has agreed to supply AudibleŽ with Ron & Fez as temporary replacement programming. Opie & Anthony are expected to return following their 30-day suspension, and Audible expects to resume carrying the program at that time.
Nice if you don't have XM during the suspension.

anyone who has audible should download the show, and then maybe if they see high demand they will stay on fulltime.

In light of the post promoting boycotting xm and listening illegally instead I say why use audible when there are torrents.

In light of not fucking over Ron and Fez, I say "If you really are true to your protest, deal with not hearing them".
As I've said before, I fault no one who feels they should boycott XM. But if you are going to go that route, then you shouldn't listen via Audible OR torrents, paltalk, etc. If you're going to boycott... FUCKING DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES!!!!

its not that simple. i have no problem stealing from XM short-term
I fault no one who feels they shouldnt boycott XM but im not gonna bitch about them or try and demean their statement of dissatisfaction.
yous want us to 'bite off our nose to spite or face'...theres no need in this case.
its pretty basic economics, not a moral issue for me.

I'm not demeaning anyone. I'm just saying... If you want to boycott something, then deal with the consequences. Don't say you won't listen, then find some back handed way of listening. If you're really willing to do without, then deal without.

im not saying i wont listen..im saying i wont trade with XM for the time-being
i used 'demeaning' in reference to the 'fucking over ron and fez' line. maybe it was the wrong word.
economic boycott as political tool is an irish tradition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boycott),it doesnt mean to halt consumption. it means...
"refusing to deal with a person, group, nation, or group of nations so as to punish or show disapproval"
purchasing the goods and services from an alternative or illegal source is often part of that process.

You think when Martin Luther King got tired, he used the bus?
That's an AMERICAN tradition.

no, he took a train
you got me interested in that analogy though...
"Under King’s leadership, boycotters organized carpools, while black taxi drivers charged boycotters the same fare --10 cents -- they would have paid on the bus. By auto, by horse-and-buggy and even simply by walking, direct, nonviolent political action forced the city to pay a heavy economic price."
sound familiar? (http://register.paltalk.com/reg/PalRegister.jsp?pagc=115&advc=105&refc=42004&source={ifsearch:gaw}{ifcontent:gawc}genhgv01&kw=paltalk&adgroup=Brand+General)

Ghandi protested the british by making his own clothes and making his own salt. Maybe everyone can make their own Ron and Fez show. The tough part will be finding someone willing to play earl.

If it sounded familiar it would have read "Under King's leadership, instead of paying to get on the bus, they simply hung off the back to avoid the fare."

Like an episode of "What's Happening!"?
Papabear - Without repeating or quoting myself a second day in a row, I agree except I do think that going through Audible.com (http://www.audible.com) for the show does help R&F.

This is fucking hysterical and needs to be identified as such!

If you buy from Audible.com, then it shows support for Ron and Fez and shows that there are people will to purchase Ron and Fez directly if they won't subscribe to Ron and Fez. Plus Audible has some pretty cool books and other features.

Take a mop, glue some brillo pads to it, then put a Yankee cap on it. voila.
Does about the same amount of work too.

might not be a bad idea, since everyone's in the mood to write to advertisers, to encourage audible to continuing offering R&F when O&A comes back.

I agree. But I still think people who are boycotting XM should go without. If you're not boycotting, or you just don't have XM, then by all means... buy from Audible.

I think that's the point - Ghandi didn't stop wearing clothes or stop using salt, he found alternative means of procuring those things.
That's what torrents, audible, etc. are - alternative means of consumption/procurement.
Mooch has it down.

I know for a fact that Ghandi would have not cancelled his XM.

Ghandi and MLK was about non-violence.
Using torrents/paltalk is taking material away from XM by force, in effect, cyber-violence.
Mooch is more Malcom X and Huey Newton. Or Al Sharpton's hunger strikes, where eatin' soup is a-ok.

I was kinda joking, but somehow I doubt ghandi would have condoned stealing. He may have understood it, but he certainly wouldn't have condoned it.

True, but I'll bet Ghandi would have signed up to a message board with a fake name pretending to be a big breasted hottie.
