Watch me be proactive.
XM has stated officially in a press release that the suspension was for 30 days. XM has also stated that they will be back on June 16th. XM has been running spots that O&A will be back. They did not say "indefinitely suspended", they gave a time frame for O&A's return, and even stated the reason WHY O&A were suspended.
If O&A are fired, what are the grounds for launching complaints to the FCC, the Better Business Bureau, and launching a class action suit against XM on behalf of all subscribers for false advertising and deceptive business practices, because obviously people who retained their subs were lied to about the return of O&A?

It has to be some type of Slander, there are no Fine Print or Terms of Condition on those Spots that State O & A will be back in June
:king:
The only thing it would accomplish is getting everyone that kept their XM a refund of that 30 days.
However, since they've already been crediting everyone who calls a free month, or months, I don't really see the point.

Stop. I mean this in all seriousness, and Mikey asked me to do something positive, this was my idea.

You're right on this. It should be merged into the cancellation thread.

Matty is a know it all ass sometimes, but then you all cross a line and just start dog piling on him.
Give him a chance, you know he's a real fan of the fucking show.

I know the way he says things and presents his ideas seem kinda snotty from time to time, but it just seems people cut Matty a lot less slack because of it. And it's not all anyone's fault, I just figured by now we'd be used to each other a little more.

I actually gave a lot of thought, and without posting a separate apology thread with lots of exclamation points, I have been a real ass in these topics, mainly because I probably am thinking back to 2002 and the "dark times".
I had a really good buzz at my wedding and with all the friends I met through the show, it kind of made me think not just about losing entertainment, but losing friends, as we all kinda lost touch while the shows were gone.
I think it ties into that and kind of hit a major, major nerve for me, and I'm not sure why I'm reacting the way I am.
I'm taking a lesson from this whole thing and keeping my mouth shut from now on before I dig my hole deeper.

Heh-heh. You said "dig my hole."
But seriously, I know where you are coming from on this. It's just that everybody is a little agitated and there hasn't been a lot of slack-cutting going on.

All this talk about slack cutting makes me miss the God Warrior.
I mean Fez.
Emotions are running high because of the lack of information and anxiety..."been there and done that" comes out of frustation...no one has cornered the market on wanting this to go back to a Pre-Imus world...no one has cornered the market on speculation...no one has cornered the market on sticking to their convictions...no one has cornered the market on wanting the best for the buddies...if O&A are back aftter the 30 days, it's going to feel like a bullet was dodged by everyone...
I refuse to be a defeatest - whether if it's in my faith in R&F to anchor their own station after this crisis, or whether if it's the ability to change opinion through signs of unity. Regardless of if you think one more name won't matter, it should matter that you let XM know how you feel about the situation, just so you are counted.

Matty I for one understand. I have been reacting the same way but from the other end and have decided to try and keep my mouth shut (as much as possible here). We are both very passionate about this and should direct our anger towards another direction and not at the people who are with us. Thanks for your post and I hope we can work together.

Unless you can get a team of lawyers together right now and have them threaten a lawsuit over this, it's not very proactive. If you wait until 30 days to see what happens, it's more reactive. At that point, I'm afraid it would be futile and become another frivolous lawsuit.
In the end, your single sub canceling won't make any difference. Only as a group do we have power.
