It seemed that that was a little to real.My guess is he was fired since Vince McMahon and the WWF had to make 9% cutbacks. So hence WWF wins at Survivor Series.

My guess is he was fired

Why would you think that? Do you realize that wrestling is fake? This was a very good worked-shoot, that is all. Vince helped him write it.

Paul's speech was a little to real and Vince himself looked like was taken back by what he said. I don't think he's fired just put on the shlef until WCW gets its own program. Most of what he said was true, especially when he said that when WWF had doink, Austin was wrecking havok in ECW. If not for ECW, WWF wouldn't have "Attitude" and true hardcore wrestling fans know this for a fact

I also believe his speech was his way of leaving the broadcast booth to work behind the scenes. maybe with him gone, jerry lawler can return.

What I'm hearing is that, before Heyman gave his speech, he and Vince worked out an outline of the stuff Paul would talk about. However, much of what Paul did out there was adlib. It may have fit the outline, but some of what Paul was saying was off the top of his head, so if you saw Vince reacting to it, it was probably because he didn't expect Paul to say what he did.

This is not to say the entire speech was a shoot. It wasn't. However, what he said DID have elements of a shoot, and let's be honest - worked or not, what he said WAS true.

Personally, I thought it was a fabulous speech. And it sucks that Paul's character is a heel, because he was getting booed during the entire time he was in the ring, when every self-respecting smart fan should have been cheering at the top of their lungs at every sentence.

My jaw dropped. I never thought Vince would let something like that be said to him. Combined with the Foley spot, it definitely looks like there's been a wakeup call creatively in Stamford.
Tazz interefering in the main event Sunday, anyone?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you all !!
