Ron signed off the FreeFM show like that on Wednesday, tipping his hand that the format was switching and talk was being dropped. Ron was just trying to play a joke on everybody at XM on Thursday, doing the same speech as kind of a parody.

Thanks Matt. Ron's delivery was so good that he fooled me, hook line and sinker. And not only that, it was a REPLAY! One of my University buddies said to me once, "You're so dumb, I'm convinced that you're mildly retarded. How did you get into University?" It was then when I started putting broken glass in his food.

I loved the way Ronnie signed off Friday. He started out by launching into the "farewell speech" again, but then he stopped and talked about how Kevin Straley had called him a bit annoyed, asking "Did you just quit?"

If I were Ronnie -- and, my God, do I wish I were, more than anything in the world -- I'd end every show until June 15 with the farewell speech.

He wasn't supposed to say ANYTHING about the format flip. Even though it was apparently one of the worst kept secrets in radio, they didn't want to let the secret out.

A "YMB" would have let too many people know it was over. The way Ron signed off, you couldn't be completely sure what he was saying. It was clear enough to make the point (in hind sight) but vaugue enough to keep him out of trouble.

Umm....need I remind you that instead of listening to Ron and Fez on the WJFK stream for free, I have to pay to listen to them on XM (which I choose to do, because I love Ron and Fez). So I guess I should thank Opie and Anthony for that then? Umm.....Need I remind you the only reason Ron and Fez had to move from NYC in the first place is because of Sex for Sam? Guess I should thank them for that too? Look, you're obviously a big Opie and Anthony fan, and so was I for a long time, but not any more. They're both self proclaimed cunts with very little care for anyone except themselves. They're just mean, angry people, so I shut them off. Again, that's my take.
