So Jeff and I were in the airport at St. Kitts waiting for our flight and I was starving.

I ordered a "Bacon and Egg" on a roll from the food stand there. Jeff took it and asked for a bite, and I saw as he bit down the entire sandwich was slathered in mayonnaise (AND lettuce tomato). I hate mayo. I then said "sandwich is all yours, I'm not eating that EW".

Jeff then asked me a puzzling question. Why would you order this sandwich if you don't like mayo? Bacon and Egg sandwich comes with mayo, you should have asked for it PLAIN.

I have never, ever, ever seen ANYONE put mayo on a delicious Bacon and Egg sandwich. At the MOST you get salt/pepper/ketchup.

I pose this question to ronfez.net - have you EVER gotten mayo on a Bacon and Egg sandwich as a standard condiment, that you would need to ask for them to NOT add to the sandwich?

The only thing that comes with mayo is a BLT. I have had nothing else come with mayo. (except hardee's/Carl Jr. burgers)

In favor of the mayo though.

You don't mix mayo and egg. It's just against the fucking laws of common sense and might even be kinda Pinko Commie.

If you're getting a hot egg sandwich with some sort of breakfast meat on it, it's ketchup all the way or nothing.

ketchup is disgusting.

I wonder: If you like mayo on your breakfast sandwich, you hate ketchup on anything. If you like ketchup on your breakfast sandwich, you hate mayo on anything.

I've definitely been to places where the animals put mayo on a bacon and egg sandwich. I could not eat mayo on a bet, so I would just throw it away, or ask for another one.

But that's not the norm. Maybe 5% of the places put mayo. Otherwise, when you order a bacon and egg sandwich, you usually get the question of salt/pepper/ketchup.

See, that's like down here. They put mayo on EVERYTHING. I can't tell you how many burgers and sandwiches I either sent back or just threw out because they dump mayo on it.

But who the hell puts lettuce tomato and mayo on a BREAKFAST sandwich? Fucking barbarians.

People in the South love to put mayo on everything. There's this place near where I went to school, and their thing is hot dogs and beer. If you order a hot dog with everything, it will have mayo on it. Pretty gross.

I've never heard of mayo on a bacon/egg sandwich. However, I've never heard of a bacon/egg sandwich without cheese. For me, even with cheese, the sanwich is a little dry, which is why I eat sausage/egg/cheese sandwiches.

I do not like the cheese they put on it, so I omit it, asking for only bacon/egg sandwich on a roll. I will usually also say "no cheese"

Mayo isnt even a thought in a Bacon Egg and Cheese on a Roll. Only Salt and Pepper and Ketchup (then its a Ketchup Sandwich , Yickkk)are allowed, Bu, butter or Margerine are also accepted, but thats a lil too much.

I always put mayo on my egg sandwich. Lightly toasted bread, lots of salt & pepper, american cheese, mayo and an egg. Sometimes I'll add a few strips of Facon (vegetarian bacon). Delicious! I can't imagine ruining it with ketchup.

sounds like a blt with egg (which i've never heard of). i've had to return blt's because they came with mayo. if you don't ask for condiments, they should NEVER be put on for you. reminds me of the day after fez's birthday and i was silly hung-over, went and ordered a sausage-egg-and-cheese from the corner deli to help me pull thru. walked back to the car, struggling all the way, open it up...slathered in ketchup. almost lost it all over my car. had to pull it together and walk back to get another. so vile.

Gwen

Sadly, even here in the North I've ordered a BEC and found mayo on it. I absolutely HATE mayo and will not eat it in anything except for egg or tuna salad. I also have sadly ordered a ham and cheese sandwich and found mayo on it. I mentioned absolutely nothing about mayo in ANY of my orders and I've gotten it.

As for the grilled cheese and mayo: I was once at my friend Tatiana's house and her mom made us grilled cheese, one of my favorite sandwiches, I ended up taking a big bite and found there was mayo on it. I was too polite to complain so instead i suffered through every miserable bite and then threw up about 20 minutes later.

Mayo should be on nothing, not ever, not nowhere.

fuck, didn't see this one...beat me to the punch. btw, that reminds me of another thing, this same deli sells blt's for $2 and bacon-egg-and cheese for $1.50. same amount of bacon, same roll...how the FUCK do egg and cheese cost less than lettuce and tomato??

I know a little something about sandwiches boys.. unfortunately, mayo is put on just about everything (I hate mayo personally) especially when you get out of NY. Prociutto, fresh mozz, and some olive oil.

Putting mayo and ketchup on any good pizza leaves me with a sick feeling. And putting mayo and ketchup on a bad pizza leaves me with a sick feeling. Some may put these condiments on a bad pizza, like Dominos, to make it taste better, it probably would. But putting these things on an already good pizza, I honestly have never seen before. It seems
wrong to me, but people do what they do. Now I will go and puke.
