i just met tom savini (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0767741/)
he was giving a lecture in the classroom that i have my 1pm class in. that class happens to be cult cinema and tom stuck around and we met him and he had Q & A for about 45. i don't get to meet a lot of famous people since i live southeast ohio but he was one of the coolest people i've ever met. it was fucking awesome

I had to to an image google but Yea! I know that guy!
That's cool.
He's someone who can be really hit and miss with - I know a lot of people who have met him who really came away not feeling so great about the experience, and others who he's been great with. He's had a very fun and interesting career.

I idolized that guy in the 70's and 80's. I wanted to follow in his foosteps so badly. I often wonder if he's still working given that all effects and most makeup are now done with CGI. No one could top him back in the day.

He's one of my idols, too! I've always wanted to meet him. Did you ask him any questions?

Horror fans like me love the guy.
For every film he's been in, seems there 3-4 that you dont realize it was him doing something in the production, and there he is in the 'Making Of' featurette, and yer like, 'Oh yeah, that guy!'

I think there was a thread once, or should be, for the most famous non-famous actor. I thought William H. Macy held it for years but has now become too famous for his non-famousness. You know, that person who is in a bazillion movies but you have absolutely no idea of their name until you hit IMDB and realize theyve been involved with dozens of movies you love, onscreen or off.
He starred (along with Ed Harris) in one of my all time favorite movies, George Romero's "Knightriders."
Check it out if you get a chance.
