First blockbuster movie- Great
Second movie- OK
Third movie - blows

This movie was abso-fucking-lutely hideous, a real abortion.

I loved the first two, and this one completely shit the bed. With the first two, I was engrossed the whole time, and when they ended, I was like "it's over already?" All during this one, I was like "is this shit ever going to end?!?"

The first movie was entertaining.

The second movie was too dark and complicated and too long.

I'm not going to waste the money to even rent the third movie eventhough it's already one of the most profitable movies ever.

they very mutch lotr'ed this abomination
3 fucking hours in the theater!
oh it was a fucking hack fest

the problem is even if its awful no one will listen.
"Oh i liked the other ones" so everyones going to see it in theaters anyway and just perpetuate the thought process in hollywood that its okay to make bad movies as long as the next generation of consumers dont get wise to abismal film making before their profitability has expired and they have gotten wise to the gimmic.

Really enjoyed the first one.

Second and third ones were both visually beautiful, the fights were well choreographed, the pacing was fairly strong, and there was some witty dialogue.

But where the first movie was a swashbuckling adventure with a ghost story element to it, the sequels were more supernatural stories involving pirates. Unfortunately, they weren't very interesting storywise.

Still, I went this past weekend anyway, even after seeing the second one, for the adventure and visual elements, and not expecting much from the story. It was pretty much what I expected.

At least I know how to use proper spelling and grammar.

I like to see these overblown action films on the big screen. It's much more visceral than watching them on my tv.

You know why I don't understand people who have problems with the dialogue and plot of these Pirates movies?

BECAUSE THEY ARE DISNEY MOVIES ABOUT FUCKING PIRATES.

What did you expect going in? Citizen Kane? Its a trilogy of movies based off of a Disney ride. Stop trying to read so deep into the movie and just enjoy it for what it is, A DISNEY MOVIE ABOUT PIRATES.

It was a pretty decent movie! I think what lowered a lot of people's opinions of the film was its length. But overall, it matched the first two movies in wit, action sequences, and performances (with The Deppster delivering once again).

Keith Richards was pretty lame-o, though.

When I watched the first one all I could think of was 'I should really try to find my copy of Curse of Monkey island'. Murray was better than anything in that movie.
