New York Dolls

I caught a documentary on Sundance the other night about Arthur Kane of the New York Dolls. What a great piece on a short lived career of a rock pioneer. It was great to see the mass influence the Dolls had on punk and Glam rock and to see them still have a place today in music. Listening to Arthur speak I got the feeling that he wasn’t all there, maybe years of partying or it could have just been the way he was. I didn’t think that he could still hold it down but I was wrong, the last show that he played was a great performance and a great send off for a talented person.
