View Full Version : Rf.net Issue Or Banned IP Address?

Ever since I got home from my long stressful day at work, I have been trying to get onto ronfez.net. However, as soon as I click through the front page art, my Internet Explorer immediately errors out, fucking up all windows, including my XM Radio Online window which is playing Ron and Fez.

I do manage to see long enough to determine that new posts are indeed being posted by other people. This leads me to believe that perhaps my IP address has been banned.

While I hardly think I have done anything deserving of this cruel and unusual punishment, let me apologize right now if I have offended the powers that be. I need Ron and Fez as well as ronfez.net like a crackhead needs crack. It's what I use to hypnotize myself to get through the next couple of years of living in hayseed hell until I can get out.

Please, seriously, un-ban my IP address. I'm seriously pleading here.

Wait a second; if you are banned, and I am posting in a thread you started 12 or so minutes ago, does that mean that I am in some kinda alternate reality?

Wow and I've only been home a half hour, that's a new record.

I was having problems with IE6 this morning when I was at work (we're not allowed to upgrade to IE7 yet). rf.net kept crashing the browser. I moved over to firefox and didn't have any problems. Not having any problems at home using IE7 either.

Oh, and here's a cat pic for ya.

It's working fine for me with only with an anonymizing IP-blocker, but that makes it sooo slow. Plus I am having no problems with any other sites. Just this one, and it only works when I block the IP.... hmmmm....

And Reilly and Gvac can attest to recent toying with people to block them without banning..... hmmm...

I'm trying to do the updates, no avail yet. Maybe I'll try the firefox.

And here I am with Firefox. Great! Now I have a whole 2nd browser for one website!

That's OK. Ronfez.net is worth it.

I even updated IE7 and it still errored out. Crazy.

Yeah, I'm phasing out support for the browser 61.9% of our visitors use.

That many people still use IE?

Why????

Wake up people!

IE is the worst browser on the planet security wise. THE WORST.

Firefox does everything it can do and much, much more.

Please, don't fear change.

Look at how I've embraced the new messageboard and take a cue from me.

A little forewarning might have been nice, perhaps?!?!? So some of us didn't have to neglect our wives and kids for four hours while trying to fix this shit?!?!?

Since people seem interested...

IE - 61.9%
Firefox - 31.45%
Safari - 4.36%
Opera - 0.71%

Further, IE 6 is 51.50%, IE 7 is 47.93%

This is why I make sure everything works in IE and Firefox, but just kinda say I hope it works beyond that.

That's what I'm reading, but it's not what I see happening as my IE explodes every time I come to this site, starting today after work.....

I usually use SeaMonkey, which is a Mozilla browser for Mac. It's basically Netscape without all the AOL add ons.

Sometimes I use Camino, too, which is even nicer and more streamlined than Firefox.

I haven't had any issues thus far.

No. Absolutely not.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm no doctor, but you really ought to have that thing checked out. I mean, I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be that color.
