Vanity Fair has 20 covers cominig out this month (http://www.amazon.com/magazines/b/?node=353895011&tag=vanfai-20), all done by Annie Leibovitz for Bono's (RED) thing he's got going on to support Africa.
I understand that there is a difference between a professional photographer and someone who just picks up a camera and just takes snap shots (Black Earl); but could someone explain why Annie Leibovitz is so famous? All the pictures I've seen just seem to be celebrities hanging out.
I know she's taken some very famous photos; nude John Lennon and clothed Yoko (Taken on the day he died), Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi with Blue Faces, Demi Moore nude with a painted suit, etc.
What makes her any better than other professional photographers?
