Who are our mondern authors? You know the names that when people look back on todayt, thy'll define it. Who are our Kerouac, Burroughs, Satres, Camus, even Pynchons? i think Palahuik has potential to be one but is not one as so far. So who are the modern literay revolutionaries?

My question is, why are you asking us?
BTW-- Thomas Pynchon went to my high school. So did Jackie "The Jokeman" Martling. Go figure!
As much as I hate to admit it-- Bret Easton Ellis mirrors the vapid, self-indulgent side of today's society. Ironically, many feel his books are "fluff."
Margaret Atwood is far under-rated.

I think Palahniuk as well. He keeps refining his writing skills.

David Foster Wallace. Infinite Jest is the toughest book I've never been able to get through (although Thunderlips SWEARS all your questions will be answered!!)

even though she is very unknown (and will probably remain so for a very longtime), nomy lamm is well on her way to becoming one of these modern literary revolutionaries.
