On Fridays show Ronny mentioned how he could never turn off a surfing documentary. I am totally the same way I love Bruce Browns stuff, Riding Giants, September Sessions and so on.
Down here in S Fla if your not surfing your skating. I came across this Rockumentary the other night on Discovery, Stoked: The Rise and Fall of Gator. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0271211/) It is some crazy shit to see the behind the scenes of the skate industry in the late 80's and early 90's. All the big dogs of the day are interviewed including Stacey Perelta, Lance Mountain, Steve Cabellero, Tony Hawk, etc...
Its kind of cool and sad to see all these guys blowing up as we now know they all did, but this dude Gator got left in the dust and ended up going to jail and some chick got killed.
Its a crazy good movie and I recommend it. It brings fads and shit I was into in the 80's back that I forgot all about.
Here is a link to an interview with the director (http://www.giantrobot.com/transmissions/46stoked/index.html)
