I read in a news release that the PAC is asking us to boycott a bunch companies. One of them listed is Texas Instruments. I'd love to help, but I need a new one of these:

http://content.techrepublic.com.com/2346-10877_11-2788-28.html

I pose this question to the PAC, what is more important to you: Free Speech or Free Markets? Didn't we all want to track down that filthy pig Al Sharpton for doing exactly the same thing to Imus? The whole reason Opie and Anthony are so big is because of their infamy....and the fact that they're fucking funny and smart, and honest. Too brutally negative and mean for me, but that's just my taste. It doesn't mean I think they should be off the radio. For fuck sakes, if you don't like them, turn them off! We're adults right? I think the PAC is active because they are mad that someone ELSE is telling them what they are allowed to listen to....and that is fucking stupid. On the flip side, fuck anyone for asking a fan like me to pay an extra 2 bucks for something I can get at Walmart just because they don't like the fact Walmart sponsors CBS or XM. Double edged sword!

What burns me the most is that our Buddays Ron and Fez seem to get caught up in their problems. They are good friends though, and no amount of message board speculation can figure out their relationship, nor do I want to. I don't see Ron and Fez/Opie and Anthony as a package. They're intertwined for sure, but they are totally different shows. As a fan, I prefer Ron and Fez. I I hope is that I can listen to them for a long, long time.

That is not what a boycott is about. It's about advertisers standing behind the shows they advertise on, even when things get rough. I don't know if TI sponsored O&A, Imus, JV and Elvis, or Ron and Fez, but if they did and they pulled their ads once a few people complained, then they deserve to hear from the other side that is upset that they did so. As for O&A, and R&F being linked, that is a reality. Both shows share many of the same fans, the shows like each other, go to each others events, and mix more than any 2 shows ever. Aside from that, this directly affects R&F too. What if Al Sharpton decides he doesn't like the way Ron speaks to Earl one day and demands that they be fired. Who will speak out against that. For right now, the only voice we have speaking out against those interest groups is the PAC. All fans of opinionated, edgy, or comedic shows should stand together and support the PAC.

Why on earth would advertisers stand behind the talent? Do you think for one second that if you owned a business, and it was your source of income, that you would bend over backwards for a radio show that you use to advertise, if you knew that to do so would hurt your business? Seriously....would you? Mafia Life Chris sure did, but wow, that's a big chance. He gets more wheels out of of being a friend of the show than adverts...and so he should! Ron and Fez stand behind Opie and Anthony because I suspect they are good friends, collaborators, and are in the same business. Do you think for one second that Wal-Mart cares about free speech? We gotta start living in the real.

No, but Wal-Mart wouldn't advertise on a show like Opie and Anthony. Trojan on the other hand knows exactly what they are supporting when they buy time on their show. I'm not asking them to care about free speech. The PAC is about letting those advertisers know that there is another group of people that do like those shows, and appreciate when they support them, and have buying power that could be used elsewhere. So consider that before you pull your support based on a FEW crybaby special interest groups.

Has anyone been able to access the PAC website in the last, say, two to three weeks? I check almost daily and still get nothing. I'm all about helping the PAC, but come on get a decent hosting company or whatever the problem is. Any media coverage that was built up from the Opie and Anthony thing is dying out from the lack of a community being able to form themselves. The lack of a PAC forum really hurts everyone that wants to help. I don't know who's in charge of this but if you guys really want our help then you wouldn't let this movement slowly die out online (where the vast majority of your support lies).

The hosting company has put a hold on their domain name, so even though they want to transfer to a new host, they are unable to because the old host will not let them.

Could we then throw up a PAC board elsewhere, like here? or wackbag or fba? or all three? If they're pulling the same shit as rfbabies there's no point in waiting

I don't know who is hosting, but if they registered with GoDaddy, I can't imagine someone else is able to lock it down on them.
