what the fuck is the country coming to that even doctors and nurses are ignoring people

at one point they said she was vomiting blood and still no help, people were calling 911 b/c no one was helping her and the 911 operator copped an attitude

fucking ridiculous

That is a sad story, but I feel it's the hospital's fault. I can't blame the 9-1-1 operators too much because they get a lot of calls every day that shouldn't be 9-1-1 calls (remember the lady who wanted the cops to arrest the drive thru employee because he got her order wrong) AND to have people call from a hospital - where they SHOULD be getting help - I would guess was an odd call. It's for emergencies only - and they're calling from a place where emergencies are taken care of? I think your first instinct would be to tell the person to ask someone there.

I blame the woman. What was she doing with all that blood inside her anyway?

right?

i'll bet she forced herself to vomit so she could drink more.
she obviously has a problem and can't handle her blood.

She didn't just die in the hospital, she died as she was being arrested for parole violations. Its amazing how many people had to just not give a shit that she was dying in order for this to happen. The people in the hospital, the 911 operator that was called by several people, and the police who thought her parole violation should have priority over her emergency medical treatment.

Here's a link (http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/06/13/hospitaldeath.probe.ap/index.html) to a written story if you don't want to watch the video.

Jesus.. Can we have one fucking serious issue without unfunny hack jokes?? For the love of God.. This shit is ridiculous.. The women died in the fucking ER.. Thats scary fucking shit.. And this not the 1st time i have seen something like this.. Just a few months ago i was in the ER with my mom and i saw this young girl riving in pain.. On the floor screaming and grabbing her stomach.. I went with her dad inside to tell the doctors, and i left about 10min later she was still there on the floor.. This is some scary shit.. No room for jokes

This doesn't suprise me in the least.
The whole system has become a fucking joke, with no easy way to fix it.

I once passed out from blood loss right after walking into the ER after having been the only person in the waiting room for an hour. They forgot I was there.

Seriously?

Yeah, Sarah and I had to both remind the woman at the intake that I was there. I woke up after passing out the second time with my hand in the little tray they use to stitch you covered in blood.

There are not enough good nurses and doctors.

Depends on you perspective for the reason why.
