View Full Version : Sick of Wedding Talk?

Is anyone else but me sick of the wedding talk? Serious. Thank God today they didn't spend forever talking about it -

Discuss amongst yourselves.

The wedding is one week away, and after that Ron and Fez are going on vacation.

You'll be begging for wedding talk then!

No, I'll be begging for them to come back!!!!!

I think I can hold out for another week at least. If it really does bother you I hope they keep it going for months then!

I'm fine with it. Stuff that is pivotal on the show tends to get talked about. People complained about the interminable Elfish/Fez football bet, but the payoff was gold. Suck it up if you don't like it. There's only one more week.

The vacation is 7 weeks and one day.

I hope you're all happy.

The show has become event driven and their's been a lot of board talk this year, it's a little odd. I'd imagine if you're not part of it, it could be sucky to listen to.

JayT
06-13-2007, 07:16 PM
Fallon -

I apprecaite that - I am not in NY, so am not apart of that stuff..

Don't get me wrong, love the show............but as a listener.... can be tough to listen when I cannot relate to the content.

Only reason I'm starting to get tired of hearing about the wedding on the show is that it's all Dave talks about now. He usually gets into other good stuff but it seems 95% of his time on air now deals with the wedding.

It's to be expected but I will be happy once it passes.

Different strokes, but for me that would make the whole thing heaven. C'mon, you have to admit that the bit when Fez recounted his Memphis trip with Elfish (http://www.ronfez.net/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=2965), as well as the head shaving and bluing day, was awesome.

Whoa. This is a sort-of Anti-Dave thread that didn't devolve into the OP calling Mikeyboy some sort of name or bringing up Death Metal Moe's post count as some sort of insult.

Could ronfez.net be on an upswing OUT of the cesspool of negativity?

And out of any day to post this, today seems like a weird one. There was very little wedding talk today. Hell, the first hour was basically Ron calling Fez a liar about eating dinner for breakfast (and it was fucking hilarious how frustrated Ron was that he can't prove it).

But, the more I listen to this as a fan of the show, the more it just seems like a bit with the big pay off being Dave either getting cold feet or Casey being a No Show at the Hard Rock. I'm just having a hard time believing that this is real.

ESD is just going through typical "Crazy Bride Syndrome." You know, that thing where brides-to-be become completely insane, unreasonable, demanding, emotional and inconsolable about a month before the wedding. It's like a period but with a heat-seeking, fuel-injected turbo Hemi(tm) and a broken steering wheel. CBS is normally reserved for brides, but Dave could out-diva a lot of people on a normal day. QED:wedding talk is universally inevitable until the deed is done. Now go clean your room!

I think Ron & Fez should just play music from now on. no live events, no talking about their lives. Just three hours of music. each day a different artist. Monday, all Van Morrison. Tuesday all Bowie Wednesday The Band. Thursday, Joe Cocker. Friday, a mix of all show related music: Art of the Topless, Crankcase, Unhallowed, Sleeves, Perry, Glennwood, Eggplant Queens.

this way everyone will be happy since no one wants to hear them talk anymore.

Well, I don't think they should do a day of show related music. That's too inside for all of us who don't go out to the events. I want to listen to Ron and Fez maaaaaaan, not Ron and Bands That Are Friends Of The Show.

I request Roxanne. Will we be getting "Manditory"?

No, the thread became idiotic but started out harmlessly enough in my opinion. Dave's entire world has been consumed by thoughts of the wedding, and we all understand that. Point of this thread should just have been that we want him to get married to Casey happily and come back being the same retard he's always been.

I love thoughtful and sensitive Moe.

I personally love when he corrects everyone and puts them in his place! Oh the Moe love!

I'm sorry... I drink alot of water and I couldn't hold it anymore.... my bad

Save that for Norton you dirty gal!

Throw in Peter Gabriel, The Clash and The Pogues and you got me....

.... Seriously though, whoever started this thread should be ashamed of themselves. We're getting hammered daily by the show because of our negativity... And what do we do?... We get even more negative!... And we get negative about the biggest event the show has put on in quite a while (not to mention, the wedding of one of the show's principal players). This negative crap has to stop!

When I heard about this thread being mentioned by ESD today, I thought it was going to be a bash-fest with ESD burned in effigy(like what we do bidaily) but it is so benign that I am suprised that Ron would consider this thread so overly negative. There are lots of people on ronfez.net that support Dave/Casey's wedding.

Dave probably selectively prints out what people write for some reason.

It was mentioned?

Wow - do I get my name on a wall or something for starting it?

hum... I feel special - and not the 'short bus to school' special.

"Prepare for the worst?!!?"... Come on! That's never gonna help curb this negativity brand we've got on us. And they'll be off the wedding talk for at least 20 minutes today because Ron said David Steinberg is coming in... Although he may want to talk about the wedding as well.

Not really. The wedding got mentioned in passing in a discussion of Earl being in over his head. If that's enough to get your panties in a bunch, you ought to just switch the station rather than bitching about what you don't like on the show on a message board.

Uh Mikey... That came off as a bit negative.
