The wife and I went to see Nick Swardson do stand-up over the weekend (great btw). While queuing for a drink and enjoying the frat house banter around me (95% of the crowd were younger than 23. The kind of rabble that vomited a deafening cheer anytime the comics mentioned getting wasted), I managed to astrally project myself above the drunken din only to hear an instrumental version of "Wunderwall" being played as part of the pre-show soundtrack. All I could think of was Perry's "Butterball." I couldn't even conjure the Oasis lyrics. I returned to my seat with delicious beverages and my wife immediately complained of the same loss of Oasis. Later, the MC called Nick on stage to the opening chords of Journey's "Don't Stop Believeing." Of course, it was a piss-take on the Sopranos, but I wish Pavlov was there to catch my drool because that song has now become forever intertwined with the infamous last scene of the infamous last show. I felt that same breathless anticipation shoot through me like John Travolta was stabbing me with an adrenalin needle (I wish I was as pretty as Uma). That stupid, highschool-makeout-party-in-the-back-seat-of-a-Citation song is now charged with an emotional cache and impregnated with a semi-awesome flavour centre. A perfectly formed irony that even a Pabst imbued meta-hipster could only ever dream of. Maybe the whole series was just a pretext to make that song transcendental. Weird scenes from inside the gold mine, indeed.

Yeah, I know what you mean about that song. This weekend, I was out, and I heard it being played. And, before, I would have grumbled about what a piece of shit it was, but it has gotten an emotional resonance now. In fact, as soon as it started to play, I looked up, and I saw that

Saw what? What?!

Worst fuckin' ending to a post ever! I'm pissed at that guy who is responsible for KnoxHarrington posts. I've spent years reading his posts and this is the end that I get? At least we can hope it's an ending. Damn, I wish someone would've shot Knox.

We can't be sure that someone didn't shoot him, and also shot his computer, so we couldn't tell that he was shot. Believe in your mind that Knoxharrington was shot, if you want to.

I tried really hard to read your post, but I keep getting distracted by whatever is going on in your avatar.
