i know. i share your pain. i'm too broke at the moment to get xm, so i'm just a sad, sad girl.
An online subscription to XM is only 8 bucks a month. You'll get Ron and Fez and a ton of music channels.
Surely you can scrounge up an extra 2 bucks a week for all that enjoyment!

you know, i didn't even look into the subscription price. the receivers aren't really that expensive, i just need to get my priorities in order. i mean, does my car really need an oil change? do i really need to get my birth control prescription refilled? i'm not getting action anyway. you're right. i'll order a receiver from that company that's sponsoring stugots' show if i can.
It's 12.95 a month for a regular subscription, and you get online access included. With the tax it's less than 14 dollars a month.
A small price to pay for the greatness that is the Ron and Fez show.

I agree- I jumped and got XM- totally worth it- I miss the FM show because its the only chance I got to post on a listening thread and now I feel like Im outta the loop with the whole motley crew (or crue if you're an '80s fan) that is on this message board. But XM is totally worth it- I can only listen in my car though since I have no sothern exposure the way my condo is set up.

I agree. The oil change can wait, walk to work. The birth control, ask him to pull out. XM is the only true priority.

yeah, i looked on a couple o' sites and it really depends on what kind of receiver you get. there's a portable one, one for the car, and so on. i'm going to check around and see what kind o' deal i can get.
Here's the one I've got. (http://www.myradiostore.com/xm-radio-receivers/sa10276-xm3120.html) It goes from my work truck to my car to the house.
You can't record with it, but it's good enough for my needs. And for 40 bucks, you can't beat it.

myself, i got the tao/myfi unit. it was under a hundred and in addition to being able to walk aboot with it, it included a car kit and home kit where i can record crap overnight). and that was a year-and-a-half ago...must be dirt cheap right now.

i saw it with home kit for 89, odd if they have a different price on two pages. and that myfi package also includes a docking station/speakers-type thingey. also the prices on the helix seem to be less than the inno and i believe they're effectively the same thing. what's with inno and inno2 tho?

I have the Inno 2- its effectively the same ting but has a built in FM modulator that I guess the the 1st gen Inno had until the upgrade disabled it. And the Inno 2 is compatible with SureConnect which can connect to your existing Car antennae whether external or on you car defogger.

Just a note Sailor- I think you need the car kit to utilize the built in FM mod.
I dont use the mod because mine is directly jumped to my stereo so I am not sure how good the built in one is.

My wife got me an inno for christmas, she took my MyFi, and that left the Roady out, which is paid for until the end of this year, you're welcome to have it if you want, free, activated until next january.
