Directions
to Echo Lake Park:
Route 22 East in Mountainside –
park entrance is on your right hand side.
Springfield Avenue in Westfield –
park entrance is on your left hand side.
From the Garden State Parkway North
or South – Take the Kenilworth/Elizabeth
Exit 138. Make a left onto Kenilworth Boulevard and follow straight
for several miles. The Boulevard turns into Springfield Avenue in
Cranford. Follow for another mile and the park is on the left hand
side.
For those of you coming from the Central/South NJ coming up the Parkway NORTH.
Follow the Parkway North to Exit 138 (Kenilworth). At the end of the exit make a LEFT at the traffic light. That will put you onto The Blvd./Kenilworth Blvd. Stay on there for 9 lights. The Blvd. will turn into Springfield Ave.
At that 9th light make a LEFT into the entranceway to Echo Lake Park. You will see parking on your right about 1/10th to 2/10ths of a mile up the street. I will try to post signs again.
If you are coming from North NJ and taking the parkway South Follow the same directions as the Parkway NORTH people but just make the Left at the 8th traffic light...not the 9th one.

I need a ride. I live on or in Long Island and I like to drink. I'd be willing to take a train closer to the ride if the ride was willing to take me the rest of the way to the venue.

Just so you guys all know... the Metropark in Iselin (not too far from Westfield) has Amtrak services to Boston.
If this does not work out ... I will leave a key with Fallon and he can crash at my pad. But one of you may be nominated to take him to ZE TRAIN on sunday because I have no idea when I will be recovered and back home from my cast parteee/set strike wheee!

For people taking the train in you want to use the Raritan Line in NJ that takes you to the Crandford Station. You should be able to find it at Penn Station in Newark. I do not know about Hoboken. Does anyone else know where else you can grab the Raritan Line?

The Raritan Valley Line Train runs between NEWARK-PENN and ANNANDALE.
It does NOT link up with the Secaucus Transfer, but if you're coming in from NYC and are not driving, you can switch at Secaucus to either the Northeast Corridor or North Jersey Coast Lines and transfer to the Raritan Valley Line at Newark-Penn.
The RV Line train usually owns Track 5 at Newark-Penn and I didn't think it ran on the weekends.
More info on the bus and rail system in NJ can be found online at http://www.njtransit.com

Just take the NE Corridor or NJ Coast Train to Newark from NY and transfer to Raritan Valley Line...Doesn't make sense to change at Secaucus.

The Raritan Valley line doesn't go past Newark. So you literally have to go to Newark anyway. Transferring at Seacaucus just ads a step.
NYC -> Newark
Newark - > whichever Raritan valley stop you're taking it to.

Is CT a Union or Somerset County native?
Trivia:
Does anyone know why the Raritan Valley Line does not go directly into NYC?
Answer in 2 and 2...
