One of our cats is sick

I don't know how people with kids do it. Our cat Otis (the bestest cat in the world) is sick and I'm worried. We came home Friday after work to find piles of cat vomit everwhere. He hasn't eaten a thing since then but he's still vomiting. He's normally very social and talkative but he's been very still, and quiet, and his few meows sound so painful. He kept trying to crawl under the sink last night. We even thought he was getting better because he was letting the other cats sleep with him. Sigh... he doesn't even want to be around his "mom" (me-- 'Lips thinks his devotion to me is well, "unhealthy" and "unnatural.")

Sigh. I wish pets could talk. At least they could say where it hurts! :-(

(and he's going to hate me tomorrow for dragging him to the vet!)

Im the same way. i always get so scared when one of my cats gets sick. one was really bad a couple of years ago, he couldnt walk or anything. luckily it was an ear infection

POWER AND CHAOS

I have a small update. This morning he was a little better. He kept some water down overnight, this morning he was a little perkier and he ate a little. However he apparently had a small relapse so Fuzzybutt was going to take him to the vet this afternoon.

It's heartbreaking to see him so sick. He is the most fun and active cat, but for the past several days he just sits very still and quietly. You can just see the misery in his eyes.

The latest update!

Otis is going to be fine! The vet checked him out and said he looked very healthy and hydrated and seems to be getting better. If he gets worse then I'll bring him back again. But until then, the doc said it was probably just something that disagreed with him (hmmm, that explains the anchovy and sardine pizza I found under the couch).

I'm so glad to hear Otis is going to be ok! You're going to have to have a talk with him about throwing those parties when you and Thunderlips are out :)
JustJon's dog was throwing up all weekend too...maybe there's an animal "bug" going around.

And who would be thrilled by having somebody stick something up your ass in front of your mommy!

Not me! I [heart] my mommy although there are SOME who think my attachment to said mommy is "unhealthy" and "unnatural"! I personally think he is just JEALOUS!

im glad your kittys ok, i got junk for calling in when my cat fell out the window and died but it really upset me!! So i can understand your worry. When my other cat dies who ive had since i was 9, i dont kow how im gonna handel it :( ugh you get so much from them but then when you lose them its so hard. My mom wont let us get another cat cause she says she wont be ab;e to deal with losing another one
