I don't often start threads since the few times I did I was flamed pretty badly BUT
Checking email earlier I got a survey request from XM which I duely filled out. Among the questions were opinions about several of the stations and in particular

202 the Virus did I listen , enjoy it, and would I miss it if it was removed.

Any one else get the survey ?
Is this cause for concern ?

Opinions

Thanks

I will keep my eye out.

Do you get to respond to the question of removal, or is just a "agree/disagree" type thing????

5-6 options per question strongly aoppose > strongly support

and a final question with optional written response

Bump.

The More Fat Thinks About This The Less He Likes It.

Would It Be Worthwhile To Take Some Kind Of Pre-Emptive Action, Like For People Who Did Not Get The Survey To Start Emailing XM To Say How Much They Like 202 ???

Sometimers Surveys Like This Are The "Beginning Of The End", And That Would Be Disaster.

I don't want be "overreacting guy" either, but I think if you get the survey it might be a good idea to let XM know, that you would cancel if the channel was removed.(even if you don't intend to do so)

For me, I would be forced to, as 202 is the only reason I have XM right now.

So, are you suggesting that the "two" week vacation is really going to be permanent?

Haven't seen the email yet but will be on the lookout for it.

Not that I care about the channel per se... but they better keep R&F or they will lose a subscription right here.

I cannot imagine that they would drop the channel entirely. Maybe they are feeling out the general population view of the channel in light of the recent suspension.

Could be their way of checking ratings... Are there any contract things going on with either of the shows?

Look, there were like 10 channels on the list...I think they are just getting a gauge for fan reaction to the channels. Everyone knows that the decades channels have a lot of listeners so they don't ask questions about those (and they don't cost any money, either). I got the impression that they just tossed in the 202 questions to see if there were any surprizes. Remember, 202 is XM's most listened-to channel, at least if you can believe Opie on this one (which I do). I wouldn't be alarmed by it at all. Response will be high for 202 anyway...people who don't listen will just check "don't know" and people who do will likely be rabid fans.

Now, if they asked "would you listen to BIG ASS 203?" I'd be pissed if one of the choices wasn't "F*$& YEAH!"

It would even be better to call the offices. Strange Question. I just don't know after several people threatened to drop their subscriptions because of the incident with O&A.
Ron and Fez need their own channel. I think everyone should say how much they miss having a dedicated platform to their show.
Also what is up with Oppie bagging on Ron and Fez the past few days?

Never received such a survey.

One Positive Sign:

F_S Has Started To Hear Commercials For Ron And Fez On Other XM Channels, Like CNN (Tonight). If A "Pulling Of The Plug" Had Been Decided, They Wouldn't Be Intensifying The Advertising Campaign.

Fat Will Be A Little Less Paranoid Tomorrow.
