I love the Replacements. They are one of my all time favorite bands. I also love those albums. Unfortunately, I don't think the Replacements ever made a truly great album from start to finish. For every release that comes close to greatness, there's always some throwaway fluff like "Dose of Thunder", "Gary's Got a Boner", and "Shooting Dirty Pool". For me, that takes them out of the hunt.
