It would be easy enough to smooth things over without letting the teenager get married. Sit down with their daughter and the Ped and discuss the situation.

"OK - you are in a relationship. We don't approve, but lets try to work through this. It doesn't make sense for you to get married now - what is the rush? 18 is just 2 years away - why not finish school, let us all get to know each other, then if you still want to get married you can do so legally."
