I order it whenever I go out or order in sushi.
It's not sweet and has the ever-so-slight hint of bitter after taste. It's just... refreshing. SO MUCH better than any over-loaded American flavor.
There's a Japanese population in the Newport section of Jersey City and some of the supermarkets have a small Asian section (It was so much better when International Food mart was open).
I found a site on line that sells it. But there surely must be a closer place in NJ.

Mitsuwa. We're headed there tomorrow before the show... want us to get ya anything, Manny?
And back on topic: much love for the green tea ice cream. I'll even get the bastardized green-tea-and-mango flavor Turkey Hill puts out.

One of the sushi places I go to a lot here in Houston offers complimentary green tea or red bean ice cream after every meal. I've always gotten the red bean, and I love it. Green tea just seemed too odd. But, now that I think about it, it's no more odd than red bean ice cream. I'll have to try the green tea next time I go.

Wasn't it called Yohain's or something like that back in the day?
