Patrick Philbin (no relation to Regis) has become an ambassador for the sport of competitive eating.

A born statesman, he recently attempted to establish a sister-city relationship between Moonachie, New Jersey, and Little Rock, Arkansas. He hoped that competitive eating could be used as a vehicle to promote economic activity in both locations.

Despite his failure to attract support for this campaign, he remains a committed eater and hopes one day to win the Nathan's contest.

It appeared to many that Philbin had the characteristics of a Hall of Famer. His image, sadly, was sullied when, during a recent New York City morning show, he placed sliced turkey on his head.

Is "sliced turkey on his head" some sort of phrase I have never heard of or do the not want to mention the baby bird? I recall him getting banned for a little while for the baby bird so I know the MLE was not to happy with that video.

And the Turkey reference was about me putting slices on my head while goofing around on the WB-11 morning show before a Thanksgiving Day contest, I think George thinks i'm too goofy to represent the MLE (Major League Eating, formerly the I.F.O.C.E.) plus they're promoting the thinner eaters and seemingly discouraging the "Husky":innocent: eaters like myself and didn't have me back the next year but Larry Hoff (the host) was asking where the hell I was.
