I believe she generally has tried to discuss issues fairly on her shows (the Tom Selleck sandbagging notwithstanding and I believe she apologized for that) but I haven't watched her shows very much so I'm not going to swear to this. I can say with some certainty that she has been pretty quick to swipe her debit card for some worthy causes, including the Intrepid Center for the disabled soldiers that was built with private donations down in Texas. She was invited to and attended the opening ceremonies and, according to Imus who was charged with raising the last $25 million, wrote a check for $300K. I haven't heard what Ann Coulter, Michael Savage, Michele Malkin, etc. ponied up.

This "you're a hypocrite" line must be a new right-wing talking point that Hannity and the other puppet masters is handing out. I'm seeing it a lot in discussions of environmental policy too, in which it's pointed out that some famous person who advocates solutions for global warming flies in jets, don't ride a bike everywhere, etc.. Um, yeah.

I actually don't have such a problem with O'Donnell, except for her dumb-ass arguments for 9/11 conspiracy theory. That's about all she's done I really have a serious problem with.

I'm as lefty as they come, and I can't stand Rosie. She's entitled to her opinions, but she's also putting herself out their to be criticized for how dumb she sounds most of the time. I just don't like the idea that she somehow represents liberals or like we're supposed to defend her. Why should I? She has nothing to do with me or my opinions.
