Has anyone been watching the "My Wish" segment on ESPN? They did it last year and are doing it again this summer. For those of you that dont know what it is here it is in a nut shell. They take kids who had cancer or other horrific medical problems and give them a day with their sports hero.
Anyway I watched everyone last year and again so far this year. These segments get me everytime. I cry like a baby. I do not understand how they always get me to cry? When I was younger I wouldnt cry over anything and I never seen my father or any man in my family cry. When I got older I seen my father cry when his father died and then again he cried a few times before he died. I think seeing my father, this strong, confident man finally break down and cry it showed me that its ok to show your emotions.
Anyway back to "my wish" If you wanna see kids make it through things and then see them so excited to meet their heros, then this is something you should check out. Its amazing and it proves there is good in the world.
