I say Spoon.
You can dig with it. You can eat pretty much anything with it. It's not the greatest tool at keeping food stationary while you cut, but it can do it if the food is soft enough and you can jam it hard enough.

Spoon knows lot about sports but fork is good for eating with.

I voted spoon, so Spoon doesn't beat me up and take my lunch money.

i agree with all points raised, and will add that the tines on a spoon never bend and scrape the inside of your mouth

It's easier to eat with a fork than it is with a spoon. Fork could claw up some yogurt, sure it's not as good as a spoon at yogurt eating, but it still does the damn job. You can't eat steak with a spoon by itself...at least fork could give it a good grip for rip action...or lifting the whole steak and eating it like a meat lollipop.

Spoons are more versatile, but I couldn't live without forks. I need them for my ramen noodles. I guess I could to the chopstick thing, though.

I was thinking spoon was the obvious choice, but you can slurp or pour a lot of things in the absence of a spoon. You could use your hands in place of a fork sometimes, but we're not animals.

the only way to answer this is to ask yourself what you'd use to eat a nice beef stew. tells you a lot aboot a person as it's one of those rare foods that can be eaten with either. me, i'm a fork guy.
You can't eat ice cream or soup with a fork.

You can't eat ice cream or soup with a fork.
not true..
Ice cream, while it would be inconveinient (sp?) can be eaten with a fork as it is in a solid state while frozen, and soup, well you can always drink soup and use the fork to eat any noodle goodness thats inside (i.e. spaghetti)
I would have to go w/ fork, its really the most obvious choice here

other than the steak obsevation you can pretty much do everything with a spoon that you can with a fork
you can't say that about the other way around, forks would not be as useful in cereal or soup , yes you could slurp the milk or broth but you could use the spoon to hold the meat just like a fork while the knife cuts

You can "cut" things that are not super hard to cut with a fork using the side of it. Its kinda hard to do the same thing with a spoon.

i diasgree
theres no difference with the side of a fork and the side of a spoon except for maybe a lil curviture on the spoons part
so by your rationale if its not that tough and the side of a fork can do it then so can a spoon

I have a penis, so I say spoon. What kind of weirdo uses a heated fork to play with his balls?

I said fork, because you can't really stab someone with a spoon. Now that I think about it, the Asians were able to replace the fork with a pair of sticks, but they never replaced the spoon, I wish I could change my vote.
