they had him beating just about everyone, he beat every champion at the time and a few former champions and then leading up to mania he started jobbing to almost everyone

maybe that was to make people think he wouldnt win the MITB match, which he did, but then due to injury had to lose to edge

definitely love the guy and his gimmick, he was a brief US champion, so maybe a IC title run before he gets his shot at mania possibly next year ???
