OK I am not one to post in this forum. BUt today my wife left for Canada and I thought I would be fine but as soon as she was gone I broke down. I was very surprised my self. I new it was going to be a tough week, but I never thought I would be so sad. I haven't aways been a great husband but I do love her and I miss her already.
Damn I hate telling everyone how I feel but I need to tell someone so I thought I would put it into words.

significant other in canada? hi fez!
on a serious note, my wife's been in SF for a week, as i've posted elsewhere and has another to go. it's tough being apart, but WAY more tough for her. how's your wife doing, or have you not discussed this with her? hang in there, bucko.

Just one week? Sheeyit. She isn't my wife, but I still love my girlfriend quite a bit... and I see her usually one or two days a week. She lives an hour away from me you see... she lived alot closer by until she had to sell her house and move to somewhere more affordable... so it's quite a pain in the ass to see her on a frequent basis.
So I can relate to missing someone... but you either get used to it, or you don't. It's normal to feel shitty the initial 24 hours or so when you're left alone by someone you love. I get cantankerous on Mondays for this reason. But being independent and functioning without someone around is also thrilling, fun, and hell, lets you do stuff you normally wouldn't do when the chick is around. Like gaming and porn. :devil2:
 ...Actually, scratch the porn thing. You have a kid around there Mister!
And no terribly violent video games either. You can play Barney. Or Barbie.
Hm... I can see why it sucks not to have your wife around. Stay strong budday, this too shall pass.

She just called and she has landed in Toronto. Now she has to fly to St.JOhn. I know its only a week and I will be fine, but it is good to know I miss her. Taking care of the kids does not bother me. I am taking the week off of work to be with them. I 7 year old is tore up missing mommy, but I am doing what I can to make him happy. Thanks for all the well wishes. I will be keeping you up to date until she lands in Nashville next week.

Does she read this board?
Cuz if she does ... your heartfelt words should score you some points.
btw, I was just in Toronto ... it's a pretty cool town. I hope she has a chance to scope it out. Queen street rocks. Cool bars. There's also a fun little area called the Distillery which might be fun for a family to hang out.
