I'm just laying here, very heavily medicated, due to an ankle injury. Out of the blue I've got this intense craving for a Nutella sammich. I have no idea where it came from, as I haven't had one since I was a kid and my right-off-the-boat Italian mother used to make them for me. The other kids always thought I was odd because I didn't have a regular pb&j sammich. But really, how can you go wrong with a chocolate sammich?
Arrrrrgggggghhhhh!!!! I can't take it. If I was able to drive I'd be on my way to the store to pick some up. I considered waking my wife to send her out to get me some, but I think she'd beat me with my own crutches.

You might want to pick yourself up some pre-natal vitamins and think about remodeling that study.

What are you, fuckin eurotrash? You probably cross your 7's, too.
But to answer the question...yes, constant cravings...for tuna.

You have to be more specific. This goes back to the late 80's.

I get the craving from time to time. Problem is, even thought they're good, I always remember them as being better. I always end up disappointed.

I've been craving one of these for almost 20 years, and I've talked myself out of it a million times.
I'm about to give in and say "fuck it" and go get one.

(If I had been drinking a beverage at that moment...)
G, Go For It. We had a '96. Got over 150,000 out of it. Oil, tires and brakes. Not much else.
Oh yeah, I bought a new rag top for it. The zippers and rivets started failing on the old one.

I've always given myself the same arguments, Tub - it's too small, it's not a comfortable ride, it's not good on gas, etc.
Fuck it.
I'm just trying to decide whether to go for a new one or an old one and make it a restoration project.

How about trying to find one coming off of a lease? (may be difficult, as once most people get one, they tend to keep it)
An '05 with less than 30K on it. Half the price of new, and still bulletproof.
I'll keep my eyes open.
Funny you should say that.
I saw an '04 yesterday with 35K on it. Needed some body work, but the interior was clean.
They were asking 17,000 but I wouldn't pay more than 14 or 15.

14 sounds like a good number if it needs body work. Was it auto or man?
Hardtop or soft?
4 or 6 cyl? (the 4 get's better mileage, but still has enough power. That's what we had.)
Auto trans inline 6, soft top with full doors.
I'd actually prefer a stick, but if I see a really good deal I won't pass up an automatic.

Go get on GVAC as my AUTO dealer called it "The Kidney Krunsher " . they have a new model that is lionger and supposedly more stable. you can take the guitars out for a ride every now and then

what of that talk of living the simple, non-flashy life?
what of that talk of living the simple, non-flashy life?
Exactly why I might go get one.
A small vehicle...less room to put crap in.
Not a lot of creature comforts either. Just a simple little truck with exposed nuts, bolts, and rivets.
It's beautiful in its simplicity.

i had the calzone itch just last week. i hadn't had one in a while either.
what a disappointment!!! got a calzone from the local (otherwise really good) pizza joint. it was about the size of a catcher's mitt and was just a doughy, greasy, sloppy mess with only about a thimble full of sauce for dipping.
i want to kick someone in the nuts just thinking about it!
