People are dumb enough to shell out $5 for a cup of coffee at Starbucks: why should this be surprising?

don't want to piss people off but throw in everyone that attends a professional sporting event. they voluntarily get ass raped buying beer and hotdogs, tickets, parking, so guys who can either throw a ball through a hoop or hit a ball with a stick can make 20million a year...
sorry it's the fucking truth... but it's not my money so i'll shut the fuck up

Beer is infinitely better than coffee and is worth every penny for the happiness it brings.
I await Gvac's rebuttal.

starbucks coffee is only slightly more expensive then dunkin donuts. a medium at starbucks is $2.05 and last time i was in a dunkin donuts a medium was $1.85. it is those stupid lattee things that are five dollars. i don't know why i am here defending starbucks, but the coffee is so damn good.

Parents who take their kids to sporting events are definitely getting hosed. A night out to Yankee stadium with a couple hot dogs, sodas, popcorn etc along with the price for tickets can add up to a few hundred dollars
