Michael Moore has written an "open letter" to CNN on his website, which can be read here. (http://www.michaelmoore.com/words/message/print.php?id=216)

CNN's response can be read online here (http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/Movies/07/15/moore.gupta/index.html)

Read both sides and make up your own mind I suppose. I just knew I could post it here because Rf.net readers would be interested and will take the time to see both sides of the issue.

I know there is another thread about Moore, but this is more of a thread about story subject vs. MSM.

Also since everyone is just about talked out about Moore, this is more about CNN and how they handled the facts, and the way they treated Moore.

I agree, this should be its own thread. Wow, CNN's responses are pretty pathetic at times. My favorite is when Gupta made the claim that Medicare would be bankrupt by 2019 and Trillions of dollars in debt by 2075. Moore's retort was that just like any other social program, in 2019 medicare will need more funding. CNN concluded the following:

"Again, Moore seems to be creating controversy where there is none. Moore agrees with Dr. Gupta's reporting that Medicare solvency is only assured until 2019."

Wouldn't Gupta have been the one creating a controversy? Also, doesn't it completely miss the point?
