I don't have all the details, but from what I heard his mom was trampled in the aftermath of the explosions in NYC yesterday. He's with her right now in the hospital.

She apparently had surgery on her leg not too long ago, so was walking with a cane. A crowd running away from the pipe explosion yesterday trampled her. Her knee cap was split and her foot broken.
