Something similar to what happened with this trustee happened here in UK about fifteen years ago or so. A former governor, A.B. "Happy" Chandler, said this in a discussion of what countries UK should invest its endowment in: "Zimbabwe's all [you know] now."
It was doubly bizarre, because Chandler actually gave Branch Rickey the cover he needed to bring Jackie Robinson into the major leagues, as Commissioner of Baseball, but I suppose that it comes out at some point.

He was pretty good on the Ben Stiller Show that no one watched.

It was a sketch show. Actually had a good cast with the Mr. Show guys, Garafalow (or however you spell that)...unless you were doing a little "Who's on First" gimmick and I'm just a bit wrecker and I apologize.

I was under the impression that everyone doing that timeslot was "trying out" and they weren't let go, but were rather in the mix of getting the gig. I could be way off though, I just thought they were being considered to fill in full time.

It's possible that they were hurt by the fact that stations are afraid to hire edgy talent, therefore slowing down their return to radio, but they weren't directly affected like JV and Elvis were.

They did get screwed by that. Ratings and Imus killed the FreeFM format, which was one of their big opportunities.

The funny thing is, if WHFS hadn't gone Spanish, Jefe and Dubs might still be with WJFK in R&F's old time slot. That would be so cool.

you'd think I'd be used to it by now, but I still get a kick out of hearing people swear when I've never gotten to hear them do it before. It makes the show so much better with them not have to wast their time trying to figure out how to say things. I missed the first half of the show, but I'm loving what I've heard of NEXT so far.

I'm writing to show my support for XM making J-Dubs and El Jefe's show "NEXT", which aired Saturday night at midnight, a permanent part of the XM lineup. It was funny, clever, and I think it would be a fine addition to the lineup of channel 203, Ron and Fez's personal channel...
