So the International Space Station has this refridgerator sized piece of equipment full of ammonia and weighing 1,400 pounds that they don't need anymore. Originally, the plan was that they were going to load it up on a shuttle and bring it back down. However since the shuttle fleet is being retired soon, and they only have a limitted number of flights left, they can't spare the room. So, what is NASA's solution? Just toss it out the back door along with another 200 pounds of junk.

They say most of the smaller pieces will burn up completely on re-entry, but this big thing could have chunks as big as 40 pounds that will make it to the surface. They say it will most likely land in the ocean. However, NASA estimates that there is a 1 in 5000 chance that it will land in a populated area. I play the Megamillions every week and I'd kill to have odds like that. So, keep watching the skies, people.

Nice job deeks. Bunch of fucking rocket scientists working over there.

F-it. Just chuck the stuff out the back door. If it hits somebody, good riddance. The world is overpopulated anyway.

And I'm with F_S - aim for NJ.
