It's Not The Kind Of Food F_S Would Eat, But Some Of You Hayseed's May Dig It, So Beware!! Also, Some Dog Foods May Be Affected.

A recall of canned meat products and dog food made at a Georgia plant due to botulism fears could involve tens of millions of cans that pose an urgent public health threat, U.S. officials said on Monday.

Don't worry. It only effects about 80 of their products.

Something tells me that Castleberry Foods isn't a publicly traded company.

However, I hope this recall doesn't affect gas prices.

About a month ago, I had a hankering for some chili cheese fries. I took home some cheese fries from work, and bought some hot dog chili to put on it. I ALMOST bought Castleberry, but I went for Texas Pete, instead. The whole thing was absolutely terrible, but I didn't die. I guess I made the right choice.

I swear to fucking god I'm going to start feeding the dog and cats whatever we eat with animal vitamins or some crap added in. This recall includes the "Natural Balance" brand of dog food, which is fucking expensive, and I've feed my dog it in the past (the hobo chili). Luckily he didn't like it. And I stopped even considering that brand after the LAST recall.

This shit is still in stores!!! (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070727/ap_on_he_me/fda_botulism_7;_ylt=AiMl9bbj6J5wL3Cg2vVHhdgE1vAI)

The recall now covers two years' production at the company's Augusta, Ga., plant — a tally that spirals into the tens of millions of cans.
Spot checks by the Food and Drug Administration and state officials continue to turn up recalled products for sale in convenience stores, gas stations and family run groceries, from Florida to Alaska. The FDA alone has found them in roughly 250 of the more than 3,700 stores visited in nationwide checks, according to figures the agency provided to The Associated Press.
In states like North Carolina, more than one in three stores checked by state officials in recent days were still offering recalled products for sale. Officials there pulled 5,500 cans and pledged to keep searching.
