For the record, the 24k feed port was online and working last night during your show. The 128k feed port had crashed and I got a ticket open with our stream host around 8:40pm when I noticed on my own that it was down. They had it back up in about 15 minutes.

If you had bothered to let me know about it at 7pm when you were having the problem, I could have upped the 24k feed to 128k immediately and temporarily directed your listeners there until the issue was resolved. I was at work and available on both AIM and email. Other than when you message me on AIM and log out 20 seconds later, the only reason you have ever not received a response from me was when I was on vacation and had crap cell coverage and no internet for a week.

Now I know that you are going to continue to keep acting like EVERY problem that you have and don't understand is always a "TINR Server Issue" and that this is some kind of regular problem with ThereIsNoRadio being some piece of shit. For all you know right now, over 24hrs later, I still have no idea that there’s a problem and the 128k feed is still down, yet you still haven't sent so much as an email saying "Hey check the station... people can't connect to the streams".

You would think that a guy that begged me to let him back on the station would be a little more of a team player. Last night you made it blatantly obvious that you do not give a shit about this station so I don't see any reason to drag this out any further. You are now officially no longer a part of the ThereIsNoRadio lineup.

OK, if you want to do this this way (something you chastized NewStyle about) fine...

I didn't bother to let you know because it's one problem after another. I'm tired of wasting air time on whatever the issue of the day is there. I'm tired of songs that start at 6:59, that are 8-10 minutes long in some cases. I'm tired of the lack of freedom I have as far as creative content due to your personal beliefs. I'm tired of having to emasil and IM you 50 times to get scheduling changes and the like done. I'm tired of things like the cams all of a sudden being gone and nothing is done about it. I'm tired supporting the fuck out of that station, doing everything you ask of me and being treated like someone whose on constant probation.

As far as "begging" you to get back on the last time I was suspended...yeah, I did, because I felt what I did was wrong, but I still had the same feelings about all of the technical and personal problems that go with it.

If YOU gave a shit about that station you'd at least check the fuckin' thing when you're out of town and make sure all is running well. More than just my show had to cancel that week with no word from you whatsoever. Hell, I thought you may have been in some type of accident and was concerned. If YOU gave a shit about the station YOU'D put a little more effort into taking care of all of these problems. If YOU gave a shit about the station you wouldn't have lost half of your talk shows in the last three months.

My comments were brief and tame compared to what I WANTED to say the other night and I never even brought up the week you completely ignored your responsibilities after you came back with that lame excuse.

I had no intention of saying any of these things publically, taking shots at you personally, or revealing conversations we had between us in confidence like you have done.

"Last night’s show was done in a popular paltalk room with around 100 people listening to the entire thing. The response was better than I could have imagined. The amount of feedback and the number of calls were overwhelming and I had a great time.

This paltalk broadcast was planned for a couple of weeks, but when Badmonkey (he runs ThereIsNoRadio) got wind of it, he cited his station policy of exclusivity and told me to stick to his website’s audio feed and chatroom. I’d have no problem with that, but the chatroom has been a ghost town since the station’s launch in October of 2005. It is a buggy flash program that requires users to create an account on ThereIsNoRadio, which is a confusing process that is punctuated by its inability to send the confirmation emails that contain the required account activation link.

After trying to reason with him, explaining that there would be a lot people there who have never heard of his station, he forbid me from doing my show on paltalk in front of potential new listeners.

I quit the station without a second thought.

I’ve been a part of that station’s lineup since it started and I have no ill-feelings towards ThereIsNoRadio, but the reason I do a show is so it can be heard by as many people as possible.

I will be broadcasting in paltalk and my episodes are recorded and added to the podcast. I will find a way to get a live stream out to the people who used to listen to me on ThereIsNoRadio.

None of the other DJ's are having trouble getting people registered on the website and participation in the chatroom. Maybe if you participated in the station outside of your show instead of only doing your show and ignoring everybody else on the station somebody might take an interest in your show. The roles seem to be reversed here. The only difference is that when I woke up this morning, I hadn't even had a CHANCE to respond before the email he sent me was pasted here and all traces of me were removed from the station. (I notice how quickly he gets scheduling/graphic changes done when it suits him...otherwise, it's like pulling teeth)

I didn't choose this route, buddy...you did. And it seems to go against everything you preach to others.

That's easy. I started off explaining what happened and by the end of the post, I was so ticked off that he didn't even try to tell anybody that there was a problem with the station that I kicked him off.

I do have a way to find out if the station is having trouble. The DJ's that give a shit about the station they're on tell me. You didn't think it was important enough to let me know and that's why you're off the station.

I work a fulltime job and have a family. The cams cost over $300. Around August, I had a motherboard die on the automation system that runs the station. The PC I use for shows has replaced that PC. I haven't done a show since because I have just recently been able to pull the money together to rebuild a machine for me to do shows on. I haven't done a show since August, but the station has been running so that everybody else can still do their shows. Sorry I didn't spend the money on the cams for you instead of fixing my pc so I can start doing shows on the station again. I am a selfish asshole.

I just took a week vacation with my family in a place that had crappy cell service. I didn't have a working pcmcia modem for the laptop so I couldn't dial in and check on the station. My laptop is an old piece of shit that barely functions to monitor the station now. I have to reboot it several times just to get the software to load properly so i can see the automation. I thought my dad would bring his laptop and I'd use his instead, but his was broken too. He didn't bring it for me to fix because I was on vacation. The last time I was on vacation, there was no dialup access there so I forwarded my 800# to a local access number so I could dial up and keep an eye on the station and make sure the shows started on time. I haven't done a show since because I have just recently been able to pull the money together to rebuild a machine for me to do shows on. I just took a week vacation with my family in a place that had crappy cell service. I didn't have a working pcmcia modem for the laptop so I couldn't dial in and check on the station. My laptop is an old piece of shit that barely functions to monitor the station now. I have to reboot it several times just to get the software to load properly so i can see the automation. I thought my dad would bring his laptop and I'd use his instead, but his was broken too. He didn't bring it for me to fix because I was on vacation. The last time I was on vacation, there was no dialup access there so I forwarded my 800# to a local access number so I could dial up and keep an eye on the station and make sure the shows started on time. Oh, so the ONE TIME I don't do it warrants a "firing?" My show directly? How many times have I let you know that OTHER shows were having problems? I never did that, right? How "professional" is it to tell hosts that they can't talk about this or that or use this word or that word? How "professional" is it to go out of town and because your initial plan to check on things fails, you explore no other avenues? I know it wasn't a windfall of cash or anything but I ALWAYS tried to help wherever I could...mostly by doing a good show on your station. Would it be that difficult to host audio? I'm not sure which part of my statement you think I'm wrong about so I'll address the entire statement and the link you provided...

First off, that is a terrestrial radio station, not internet. You can't say things like "cocksucker" or "motherfucker" on terrestrial stations whereas it IS allowed on internet radio because it isn't part of public airwaves and there are no daypart restrictions of any kind.

Secondly, that station would not have been sued for that content. The advertisers may have pulled their ads due to the ridiculous climate that has been created by special interest groups and the religious right, but there was nothing ILLEGAL about what Kidd Chris did. If a significant amount of advertisers pulled their ads, it could ruin the station...not so with Thereisnoradio as it isn't dependent on ad revenue to operate.

Third, that IS Badmonkey's personal policy. He has stated that in the past. Again, the powers that be may not have been offended by that song or content of the like, but will react when the survival of the station may be in jeopardy over it. Mel Karmazin never fired Howard over anything like that and his station survived because that's what you have to do when an issue like this presents itself. Don't cave in to public pressure and don't let whatever personal beliefs you have restrict creative freedom from the broadcasters.

For someone who claims to be a NewStyle fan, you sure do take an interest in what I say, no matter where I say it...
