SO YOU THINK WNEW ISNT GONNA CHANGE A GOOD THING, EH? 2 WORDS FOR YA; "RADIO CHICK"...NOT ENOUGH? HOW BOUT RON AND FEZ LATE NIGHTS. THEY WERE PERFECT THERE! OK...AND THE ULTIMATE WNEW MANAGEMENT GOOF...SPORTS GUYS. DONT PUT TOO MUCH FAITH IN THE WISDOM OF THE GREAT WNEW MANAGEMENT TEAM.
TRUST ME, I don't put any faith in WNEW Management to make any decision that has any logic or intelligence to it. My point was, that Ken Stevens and Jeremy Coleman put TONS of work into creating the current lineup. They did months of work to give O&A their current contract and syndicate them. They also did months of work to move Don and Mike to middays. The "New Fall Lineup" was 2 years in the making and was probably what they envisioned from the beginning. All their combined wisdom went into this current lineup and the only constant force in radio is ego.
The Radio Chick, on the other hand, was NOT their show. When they took over WNEW she was only in the way of what they wanted to do. I'm sure that if they could have, they would have canned her on day one. In fact, that seems like the only reason The Radio Chick was fired (her ratings were up and she was billing fairly well).
I've learned that making predictions in the radio business based on logic or intelligence is futile. But, at the same time I've learned the idiots in charge are convinced they are smarter than anyone else. The current WNEW Lineup (Sports in the Morning, D&M, O&A, R&F) was what Ken Stevens and Jeremy Coleman wanted to do from the beginning and they aren't going to give up on it after 3 months.
Unless, of course, the decision isn't up to them and their higher-ups insist on Bill OReilly. But, I'm almost positive R&F were just busting balls with all that talk of OReilly in the building.
Oh, and try to use the "Reply" Button instead of starting a whole new topic each time. Thank You.
