In fairness, if the show was #1, they wouldn't have new listeners, because they'd get all the people who are listening. Since the show is growing, by the very definition they are getting new listeners.

They do not have all these new listeners. They are not as popular as they want you to think. I understand they want to get people up to speed, but not all the time, it's called 'filler' when Op keeps saying that. 24 may be more than they had before, but look at where they are.

They have shown documented growth in New York City, their most important market. I'm not trying to be a cheerleader for O&A, but their NYC radio audience is growing, so follow this logic, thus then, they're getting new listeners.

I really don't get the Opie hate. Or the hate for his show in general. Ron and Fez are the greatest show in the world, but that dosen't mean that other shows can't be fun and inventive as well. I'll be the first to admit that their show bores me sometimes, but on the whole, my 5 radios rarely venture off 202. And let's be honest, if Oand A weren't friends and fans of Ron and Fez, I doubt any of you would have heard of them except on the night Dot Com show. Not only did they help raise their profile back at 'NEW, but they helped keep the show going when 'NEW was in upheaveal. They also brought them to 202, and then back to KROCK.

So really....relax yourselves.

No one hear that has complained about certain things has a radio show. It is different say if you are an author making fun of another author that has out sold you, a radio show making fun of another radio show with better ratings, or complaining about sitcoms you havent been on...that might be envy.

It seems like you post mostly negative stuff, and during the whole "cesspool of negativity" era, Ron said it made him uncomfortable for Ron and Fez boards to be so negative about O&A. You know that this board is read at least oocasionally by Ron and Fez; do you think that they would like to see their good friends getting trashed on a board with their name on it? I know it's not their board, but if you like Ron and Fez, why do it?
