Say, A Song Over 10-Minutes In Length.
F_S Was Listening To "Any Day Now", The Album Where Joan Baez Sings Bob Dylan Songs. The Song "Sad Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands" Is 11:18 Long, And F_S Thinks It Is Probably His Favorite Long Song Of All Time.
He Also Reluctantly Admits To Still Liking The 17:03 In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida!
Any Other Favorite Long Songs??

The first one that comes to mind is "The End" by The Doors (11:41). But, I'm sure someone will come up with a better one which will make me regret my choice.

That's probably mine. I was going to say "Master of Puppets" but I think that is just over 8 minutes.
Bah, you know what? F_S doesn't define "long" to B_D. B_D defines "long" to B_D and B_D picks M_o_P!!!!!

I like that one too. It's on the CD I recommended to F_S. I'm glad F_S isn't opposed to long songs.

I always think of 'long songs' to be in the six to eight minute range and anything beyond that I have neither the patience nor the interest in. Except for GnR's Locomotion, November Rain, Coma, and Estranged, which I think are all over 9 minutes long.

Goodbye Sky Harbor by Jimmy Eat World.
Minstrel Boy by Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros.
And though, I know it doesn't count cause it's not over ten minutes, but Only In Dreams by Weezer is fucking great.
So is 21:13 by Coheed and Cambria, as is The Light & The Glass by them too.
And it's way under, but The Clash Straight To Hell is incredible.

Supper's Ready by Genesis
"...666 is no longer alone,
He's getting out the marrow in your back bone,
And the seven trumpets blowing sweet rock and roll,
Gonna blow right down inside your soul.
Pythagoras with the looking glass reflects the full moon,
In blood, he's writing the lyrics of a brand new tune..."

Yeah, maybe, but Telegraph Road live by Dire Straits is 13 minutes of glory.
Ted Nugent - Fred Bear - not quite up to the long standard but it does break 7 minutes and its pretty rocking in that Ted Nugent kind of way.
Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand, 10 and a half minutes.
Other things I really like are the Type O Negative long songs, they are still putting out epics and its pretty great.
Has anyone heard Supper's Ready by Genesis? Almost 23 minutes long.

The Mars Volta - Cassandra Gemini (original CD version*) - 32 minutes.
On some versions its broken up into multiple tracks, as are 2 other songs on the cd, but originally I think it was a 5 track cd, but then was released again with a few of the songs being split out into multiple tracks - apparently this had to do with a contract stipulation based on the difference between an EP and an LP, being determined by number of tracks instead of total length (that may have been an overseas issue)

So many other good ones have already been mentioned.
Wilco - Spiders (Kidsmoke) 10:48
Wilco has another great song off of Mermaind Avenue Vol 2 - Remember The Mountain Bed, which I don't think makes 10 minutes but it's still long, probably around 7 minutes.
Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, clocks in over an hour.
Ryan Adams - Nobody Girl 9:40

Cowgirl In The Sand
This was the first that came to mind because I've finally got my hands on the album "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" which I haven't heard since I left the states. I'm doubly impressed with this album because both the long songs, Cowgirl and "Down By the River" are the best on the album.
I would like to nominate "Moby Dick -Live" as the worst long song, ever! What a snoozefest!
Funny because I consider this the only drum solo that's even listenable. It's also got a special place in my heart because my best friend in high school played the gitaar and people would always come up to him and request songs and any time it was a fat chick, (this was Arizona so we're talking about 75% of the student body), he'd play the guitar intro to Moby Dick. We'd all laugh and laugh and then take the fat girls home and feed em fuck em. Good times!

You could almost pick any Opeth song but I'll go with In the Mist She Was Standing, Master's Apprentice and The Grand Conjuration as my top three.
Mastodon - Hearts Alive
I don't know if this one counts because its arranged with an orchestra and uses sampling but Gavin Bryars - Tramp and Tom Waits with Full Orchestra
